Abstract means something that is not complete or does not give a complete meaning. There may be some people who consider that abstract art is simply a nonsense pattern that can be made even by mistake and by children. A brief view can make this thought grow and though in a sense, abstract art has somewhat the same logic but there is general difference and addition to it. An abstract art means a seemingly incomplete and senseless painting that still can provide a complete and deep philosophical idea if thought about with keenness. It is also a source of knowledge for those who are not able to read and can achieve a lot from the visual sources.
Abstract art also contains to an extent the calligraphy like those of Chinese and Islamic for example. Abstract paintings have not always been welcomed in the past. One can say that this type of art gained more popularity from the early 19th century. Still till the late 19th century, some authorities limited the complete freedom of the abstract form of art. But slowly it gained popularity and people known as expressionists used this form of art and drew incomplete figures to express certain feelings.
The 20th and the currently going 21st century look promising and great for the expansion of abstract art. If the name of art and painting is taken, there is a highly likely chance that a person’s mind maybe diverted to abstract form rather than any other. Abstract paintings can be seen selling for even millions which can show the level of acceptance for these art forms. Some abstract paintings have simple lines drawn in different places and maybe an arrangement of color boxes. But for the professional and enthusiast eyes, these lines and colors are a message of some sort to them.
