Nonetheless, if we are to prolong the life of a recently purchased canopy tent, we need to use the basic cleansing methods to keep it free from grime and dirt.
Wash It With A Mild Solution
The very first step to clean a canopy tent is to wash it with a mild soapy solution. For this, you would need to dismantle the tent and place the canopy in a large tub. You need to then fill the tub with luke-warm water after which you would need to add a jar of soapy solution. While adding the soapy solution, you need to ensure that the soap is mild and free from harsh chemicals. Allow the canopy to soak in the tub for over an hour, after which you may scrub it with a soft brush. Once the cloth is cleaned and is free of dirt and stains, you may take it out and wash it twice or thrice with clean water. Make sure that the water is warm and not cold. After the wash, you need to hang it out in the sun to dry.
Keep It Under The Sun
The sun’s ray acts as a natural cleanser and is an effective means of countering the harmful effects of bacteria. If you place the tent under the sun by day, you can be rest assured that there would be no germs left by night.
Get It Dry Cleaned
In case you are busy and do not have the time to wash it at home, you may always send it for dry cleaning.
