This question has been asked numerous times and has led to heated debated amongst those who feel that a contemporary vehicle is far better when compared to a rat rod. Well, rat rods, which were earlier called hot rods have a few features which are different from contemporary vehicles and hence are not suitable for ordinary driving. If we compare the present day rat rods with the traditional hot rods, then the changes are immense and the vehicles, may it be the traditional two wheel motorbikes or the powerful pick up Trucks, are still a preferred lot when it comes to displaying style with class.
The Traditional Hot Rods V/S The Ordinary Vehicles
The hot rods were traditionally built to ferry people from one place to another and this led to the inception of the hot rods. These were considered high flying machines blessed with almost no or very little accessory and had absolutely no resemblance with the traditional automobiles. They had less or no paint, no mudguards, no fenders and had exhausts emitting from places where you would least expect them to. In short, they were a complete contrast to the ordinary vehicles which plied the roads on a regular basis. Nonetheless, they were a talk of the town as they displayed an oomph factor which the contemporary vehicles lacked by miles.
The Present Generation rat Rods And Their Advantages
Well, the present day Rat Rods are much better equipped to handle the pressures of a demanding automobile and have spares which are long lasting and economical in nature. If we are to discuss the basics, then the rat rods of the present genre are often considered an asset as they have an ability to allow your machines to run effectively without the hassle of procuring an additional vehicle.
